SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 211, PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING, IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA GAGE JOHNSON NEMAHA OTOE PAWNEE RICHARDSON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AUBURN, BEATRICE, FALLS CITY, NEBRASKA CITY, PAWNEE CITY, STERLING, TABLE ROCK, AND TECUMSEH.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Description

At 105 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 2 miles southwest of Johnson to 6 miles north of Humboldt to 5 miles northeast of Bern, moving east at 35 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. These severe storms will be near Johnson and Dawson around 110 AM CDT. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Auburn, Stella, Salem, Verdon, Shubert, Falls City, Nemaha, Brownville and Rulo.

Recommended Action

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
