What: Periods of heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Where: Carter, Custer, Fallon, and Powder River.
When: From late Thursday night through late Friday night.
Impacts: Travel could be very difficult due to snow, areas of blowing snow and poor visibility. This includes Highway 12 from Miles City to Baker, and US-212 from Broadus to Alzada. Cool, wet and windy conditions will be hazardous for young livestock.
Additional Details: The heaviest snow is expected Thursday night into Friday morning.
