Description

What: Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Southern Glacier County in north central Montana Northwestern Pondera County in north central Montana
When: Until 345 PM MDT Tuesday.
Impacts: River or stream flows are elevated.
Additional Details: - At 348 PM MDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain was causing Badger Creek to rise rapidly. Minor flooding along Badger Creek is likely to begin shortly. - This includes the following streams and drainage
S: Whitetail Creek, North Fork Whitetail Creek and Badger Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Mainly rural areas of Southern Glacier and Northwestern Pondera Counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
