Description

What: Localized flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: McPherson County in central Kansa
S: Marion County in central Kansa
S: Rice County in central Kansa
S: Southwestern Chase County in east central Kansa
S: Reno County in south central Kansa

When: Until 930 AM CDT Friday.
Impacts: Localized flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 313 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and embgedded thunderstorms. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen since yesterday evening. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 3 inches are possible in the warned area through this evening. - Some locations that may experience localized floodinginclude Hutchinson, Mcpherson, Lyons, Lindsborg, Hillsboro, South Hutchinson, Sterling, Marion, Moundridge, Inman, Buhler, Haven, Peabody, Nickerson, Galva, Canton, Pretty Prairie, Florence, Marquette and Little River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

At 550 PM CDT, Up to 5 inches of rain have fallen across the warned area today. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through this evening. Localized flash flooding is likely.
Hazard: Localized life threatening flash flooding.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Localized life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that may experience localized flash flooding include Canton, Lehigh and Roxbury.
