SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 211, PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING, IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS CLAY WASHINGTON IN NORTHEAST KANSAS BROWN JACKSON MARSHALL NEMAHA POTTAWATOMIE RILEY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BLUE RAPIDS, CLAY CENTER, CLIFTON, FRANKFORT, GREENLEAF, HANOVER, HIAWATHA, HOLTON, HORTON, LINN, MANHATTAN, MARYSVILLE, SABETHA, SENECA, ST. Description

At 101 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Bern to near Woodlawn to near Soldier, moving east at 50 mph.
Hazard: 70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include Hiawatha, Sabetha, Seneca, Horton, Centralia, Wetmore, Fairview, Morrill, Bern, Corning, Goff, Reserve, Powhattan, Oneida, Hamlin, Kickapoo Reservation, and Woodlawn.

Recommended Action

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
