Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Northwestern Clay County in west central Indiana Southern Putnam County in west central Indiana
When: Until 800 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 456 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Brazil, Cloverdale, Knightsville, Harmony, Carbon, Reelsville and Belle Union. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
