Description

At 258 PM MDT/158 PM PDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Tamarack, or 13 miles west of McCall, moving northwest at 65 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing visibility. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near New Meadows, Price Valley Guard Station, Tamarack, and Lost Valley Reservoir around 300 PM MDT. Black Lake around 310 PM MDT.

Recommended Action

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT/800 PM PDT/ for southwestern Idaho...and northeastern Oregon.
