The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Story County in central Iowa Southern Hamilton County in central Iowa Northeastern Boone County in central Iowa Until 745 PM CDT. At 703 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Stratford, or 11 miles north of Boone, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Story City, Jewell Junction, Stratford, Ellsworth, Stanhope, and Randall. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 122 and 135.
