Flash Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has extended the Flash Flood Warning for Northwestern Columbia County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Southern Hempstead County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Northeastern Lafayette County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Eastern Little River County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Northeastern Miller County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Southwestern Nevada County in southwestern Arkansa
S: Until 1130 AM CDT. At 916 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Hope, Stamps, Waldo, Lewisville, McNeil, Buckner, Perrytown, Fulton, Washington, Bodcaw, Mount Vernon, McNab, Patmos, Oakhaven, Piney Grove, Falcon, McKamie, Hervey and Lerch.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
