A strong low pressure system approaching Hudson Bay will bring a major winter storm to the Kivalliq Region

Timing: Beginning Wednesday morning and ending Thursday afternoon.

Hazards: Strong wind gusts 90 to 110 km/h and visibilities frequently near zero in blizzard conditions.

Remarks: Due to the severe winds expected, this blizzard will be more intense than typical blizzards for this region.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Prolonged utility outages are possible. Significant property damage is possible.
