Yellow Warning - Snowfall
What: A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 40 cm is expected.
When:
Now through Thursday evening.
Where:
- North Columbia and Kinbasket.
Additional information:
A frontal system is bringing an extended period of snow, at times heavy, to the region. The amounts will be highly variable as the temperature is forecast to hover near or slightly above zero; however due to high snowfall rates we can expect accumulations between 20 to 40 cm of snow by Thursday evening. The most significant snowfall is expected overnight tonight and into Thursday morning.

Travel will likely be challenging. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
