Description

What: Heat index values up to 106 expected.
Where: In North Carolina, Caswell County. In Virginia, Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Bedford, Charlotte, Halifax, and Pittsylvania Counties.
When: From 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Thursday.
Impacts: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Recommended Action

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
