Flood Warning
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of central Kansas, including the following counties, Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln and Russell.
When: Until 1145 PM CDT.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wilson, Lincoln, Lucas, Sylvan Grove, Dorrance, Barnard, Milberger, Bunker Hill, Galatia, Susank, Wilson State Park, Wilson Lake and Ash Grove.
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning
At 1054 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wilson, moving northeast at 35 mph.
Hazard: Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Dorrance, Milberger, Bunker Hill, Galatia, Susank, Wilson State Park, and Wilson Lake. This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 190 and 204.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central Kansas. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
