Prolonged periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected.

40 to 60 mm of rain.
When:
This afternoon to Friday evening.
Where:
South of Hwy 20 from Riske Creek to Tatlayoko Lake.
Additional information:
As a low pressure system lingers over the Central Interior region, scattered showers this morning will develop into a band of moderate to heavy rain over the Chilcotin this afternoon. The band will slowly shift southward this evening and rain will continue over southern sections of the Chilcotin on Friday and ease Friday night.
Total rainfall amounts near 40 to 60 mm can be expected south of Hwy 20 with locally higher rainfall amounts possible near the Coast Mountains. Elsewhere, 10 to 20 mm of rain is expected.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some travel delays are possible. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts. Increased risk of landslides in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes, deforested areas or recent burn scars.
