Damage reported from severe Ontario storms amid dangerous heat and humidity

Wednesday's extreme heat and humidity were prime thunderstorm ingredients, just waiting for the right trigger.

With much of Ontario baking in extreme levels of heat and humidity once again, the atmosphere was ripe with storm risk Wednesday, with the first loud rumbles beginning across the southwest as early as the predawn hours.

A second round of storms sparked up throughout the afternoon, and with all the moisture and instability in the air, some of those storms were violent enough to feature very strong winds.
