Beach Conditions
Turn east off of Highway 1 just south of the Chemainus turn off to find Fuller Lake which offers a pleasant atmosphere for a variety of summer activities. Some individuals may find the fishing for Cutthroat or Rainbow Trout appealing. Summer enthusiasts can rent an inflatable kayak play a game of tennis in the tennis courts or jump off the floating swimming pier to cool off. There is a small sandy beach to enjoy and the large grassy lawn is a great place to lay out a picnic (although there are some picnic tables as well). Also change rooms and washroom facilities are available and there is a lifeguard on duty during the summer months.For fishing boating and paddling the boat launch offers a place to put canoes kayaks or small boats into the water however gas powered boats are not permitted. This restriction is in place to help keep the air and water at Fuller Lake clean. Bi-weekly water samples are taken to ensure swimming is safe throughout the season.
