Extreme Cold Warning

A period of very cold wind chills is expected. The coldest wind chill values will be between minus 40 and minus 45.

Extreme wind chills are occurring this morning.

Conditions will improve this afternoon as relatively warmer air begins to move into the southern prairies.


Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
