Wind warnings, heavy mountain snows continue in Alberta Wednesday

A prolonged period of heavy rain continues today.
Total rainfall: 60 to 90 mm for most regions, except up to 120 mm over northern sections of Metro Vancouver including North Shore Mountains and Pitt Meadows, and up to 150 mm near Squamish
Locations: Metro Vancouver - Central, North Shore and Northeast, Howe Sound, Whistler, Pemberton, Sunshine Coast near Gibsons, Fraser Valley - West including Abbotsford and Sea to Sky Highway - Squamish to Whistler.
Timespan: Today and early this evening.
Other risk: Elevated freezing levels and snowmelt may contribute to increased runoff.
Remarks: The third atmospheric river in just under a week will once again bring periods of heavy rain to the British Columbia south coast today. Additional rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm can be expected before the heavy rain tapers off this evening.
Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
