Canadian passports look amazing under black light

Canadian passports have always looked amazing under black light, but the latest version brings aesthetic appeal to a whole other level, as pointed out by one Reddit user over the weekend.

The 'new' passport -- which was made available on July 1, 2013 -- hosts a number of security features, including an electronic chip that helps airport officials validate its authenticity.

It's also been praised for its celebration of Canadian culture: Many of the passport's 36 pages feature artwork and snippets of information about national icons -- like Parliament Hill, Niagara Falls and the RCMP.

In addition to that, the passports are beautiful -- and they look especially great when they're placed under a black light.

That revelation was made by Reddit user KingCrow over the weekend. The user's series of photos have since gone viral, racking up more than 3,200 "upvotes" on Reddit and generating hundreds of comments.
