Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 1:07 PM - We'll bet you've never seen anything quite like this!

    It's a newly-released video of a rare deep-sea creature known as a "siphonophore."

This was recorded using a remote-operated submarine from the "nautilus live" project.

A siphonophore is not just one animal -- it is a living colony made up of many individual organisms working together.

The creatures are related to jellies -- particularly the "portuguese man o' war," which is another kind of siphonophore.

You ca watch more video like this and live-streams from the Nautilus Expedition at their website, nautislive.org.
