Wednesday, April 15, 2015, 8:30 PM - Spring weather has arrived -- but for some, it won't last. Here's your Thursday weather brief.

Atlantic Canada

  • Maritimes: Another system is moving in, bringing the potential for rain to the Maritimes.
  • Newfoundland: "Temperatures are expected to be quite cold in Newfoundland Thursday with St. Johns' high forecasted at -4C, which will be accompanied by winds gusts of up to 90km/h along the Avalon," says Weather Network meteorologist Matt Grinter.

Quebec and Ontario

  • Ontario: Sunshine is in store for most of southern Ontario with highs slightly above seasonal -- but a pattern change is on the way and that could cool things down a bit. "Light showers will move through southern Ontario Thursday, starting in Windsor in the morning, and reaching the GTA by early afternoon," Grinter says.
  • Quebec: Rain will move in Thursday night, clearing by Friday morning.

Western Canada

  • Prairies: "After the 20C temperatures throughout southern Manitoba Wednesday, temperatures will slowly cool down to seasonal temperatures for the weekend," Grinter says. There's a chance for showers in Edmonton Thursday night with a disturbance passing through the northern and central Prairies.
  • British ColumbiaShowers will continue but ease through the afternoon before the next wave pushes in for the central coast Thursday night. Seasonal conditions will continue through the week, rising above seasonal for the weekend. The next chance of showers for the southern coast will be Thursday overnight through Friday morning.
