Looking over the Turkey Point marsh, way off in the distance, you can see part of Long Point Ontario, a 40 km sand spit jutting out into Lake Erie. In 1986, the end of Long Point was designated by the United Nations as a world biosphere to protect the coastal ecosystem and many vulnerable, threatened and endangered species that live there. No wonder human entry is banned without proper permission. What a shame, if you can see what I'm talking about.
