Severe storms leave path of destruction: Photos

Wednesday, April 4, 2018, 10:50 - Countless communities spanning from Texas to the Great Lakes are cleaning up following a day of possible tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and heavy rain.

As of late Wednesday morning, roughly 100,000 homes and businesses were without power across the Gulf states, Mid-South, Midwest and Upper Midwest, but thankfully no deaths were reported. 

At least one person was injured in Decatur, Alabama, a city spokesperson confirmed to the Associated Press. Further information regarding the injury was not made public. 

The Storm Prediction Center received 8 tornado reports, 295 winds reports, and 117 hail reports. Countless homes, roads and businesses were damaged.

A large hangar collapsed near Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas, due to high wings overnight, according to local reports. No one was trapped inside the hangar, KTRK reported.

Meanwhile in Canada, this same storm system brought blizzard conditions to Quebec. See below.
