Giant sinkhole caves under fire truck, injures firefighters
Wednesday, April 22, 2015, 5:00 - Two New York firefighters were injured after trying to extract a fire engine from a giant sinkhole in Brooklyn Tuesday.
The sinkhole emerged in East Flatbush Tuesday morning, swallowing a portion of Engine Co. 257.
About a dozen firefighters stacked pieces of wood near the tire truck to keep it from sinking deeper into the 15-foot hole.
But a large piece of wood ended up snapping, and hit two of the emergency responders.

Despite being right in front of Brookdale Hospital, both men were taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment.
They are expected to be OK.
