Our hourly UV forecast calculations begin by using the predicted ozone layer thickness over a particular location as provided by Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). We then take into account the angle of the sun which is dependent on latitude, season and time of the day. Finally, we apply the predicted hourly cloud cover and precipitation information to make the UV forecast for your location as accurate as possible.
