...The National Weather Service in Albuquerque NM has issued a FloodAdvisory for the following rivers in New Mexico...Rio Chama Below Chamita affecting Rio Arriba County..Snow melt and existing reservoir releases will cause the riverflows to become high. Expect elevated flows downstream from the dam.* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected.* WHERE...Rio Chama below Chamita.* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, BANKFULL STAGE. PROPERTIES IMMEDIATELYADJACENT TO THE RIVER UPSTREAM OF THE BRIDGE ON SR -74 ANDESPECIALLY NEAR THE JUNCTION WITH THE RIO OJO CALIENTE MAY SEEWATER ENCROACH ONTO LOW LYING AREAS.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1:00 PM MDT Friday the stage was 5.2 feet.- Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.- Forecast...The river will rise to 5.6 feet just aftermidnight tonight. It will then fall to 5.5 feet earlytomorrow afternoon. It will rise to 5.7 feet Monday evening.It will then fall to 5.6 feet Tuesday morning.
