Summary

At 609 PM CDT, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was
located near Spirit of St. Louis Airport, moving northeast at 45 mph.

This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!

HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may
be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes
will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes,
businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction
is possible.

The tornado will be near...
Ballwin and Clarkson Valley around 615 PM CDT.
O'Fallon, Weldon Spring and Cottleville around 620 PM CDT.
Chesterfield around 625 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Matson.

This also includes Babler Memorial State Park.

This includes Interstate 44 in Missouri between exits 251 and 253.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at St. Charles
* until further notice.
* At 9:30 AM Tuesday the stage was 26.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to crest near 36.6 feet by early Saturday
morning.
* Impact: At 37.0 feet...Residences north of St. Charles become cut
off near this height.
* Impact: At 36.0 feet...Major flooding begins. The levee at the
Highway 370 bridge is overtopped.
* Impact: At 35.0 feet...The levee at the Highway 370 bridge overtops
near this height. Missouri State Route F northwest of Defiance
along Femme Osage Creek will be closed near this height.
* Impact: At 34.5 feet...Missouri Highway 94 near Route H will be
closed in both directions near this height.
* Impact: At 33.5 feet...Highway 94 floods downstream of St Charles.
* Impact: At 33.0 feet...Up to 7 non-Federal levees are overtopped.

* Impact: At 32.5 feet...The west end of Greens Bottom Road floods.
This road connects Pittman Hill Road and Jungs Station Road south
of 94.
* Impact: At 30.7 feet...Near this height, the base of the Lewis and
Clark Boat House will begin flooding.
* Impact: At 27.0 feet...The Katy Trail begins flooding near this
height along Hawning Road, about 2 miles north northeast of the
Highway 370 bridge.
* Impact: At 26.5 feet...Aubuchon Road begins flooding between Teson
Road and Riverwood Estates near this height.
