...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers inLouisiana...Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting West Feliciana,East Baton Rouge and Pointe Coupee Parishes.For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, BatonRouge, Donaldsonville, Reserve, New Orleans...Minor flooding isforecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.* WHEN...Until Thursday, May 02.* IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated andevacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection ofpeople and property in the river bottom land on the river side ofthe levees must be complete.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 47.4 feet.- Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagetomorrow evening to a crest of 48.5 feet early Mondayafternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, May02.- Flood stage is 48.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of48.4 feet on 04/12/1978.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
