...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers inIllinois...Indiana...Wabash River from Hutsonville to Mount Carmel..Minor flooding on the lower Wabash from Hutsonville to Mount Carmelwill come to an end over the next couple of days.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River is bankfull in all locations. Alloil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units onsubstructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agriculturallosses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higherground. City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in yearround.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:45 PM EDT Monday /7:45 PM CDT Monday/ the stage was 19.8feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 8:45 PM EDT Monday /7:45 PM CDT Monday/ was 21.8feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stagelate tonight and continue falling and remain below floodstage.- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

High water surrounds many river cabins. Access to mostriver cabins is by boat only. Hutson Creek begins to overflow from backwater. Old DarwinRoad and a few rural roads in eastern Clark and Crawford countiesin Illinois are impassable.
