Special Weather Statement

Issued at 02:24 Wednesday 26 February 2020

Latest radar scans and webcams were showing light to occasional
moderate snow ongoing across much of northwest and west central
Illinois early this morning. Snowfall rates of a quarter to half
an inch an hour were observed, and was leading to quick
accumulation on roadways and grassy surfaces.

The snow will slowly progress east and weaken over the next few
hours, with a quick half to one inch of accumulation expected as
it does so.

Use caution if traveling, especially on untreated and secondary
roads.
