Tonight was a very clear winter night ideal for stargazing. I've been watching Orion every evening, since it is clearly visible from our front yard. Here's my first attempt at getting a picture of Orion's Sword. The purple are is M24 -- the Orion Nebula. A bit blurry, but not bad for a first try.
