Taken between 04:00 and 04:30 the wee hours of July 9th, I was having some equipment issues. A Nikon D90 strapped to a Meade 90mm Refractor (which effectively acts as a 600mm zoom lens). The tripod was not cooperating so stability was an issue. The camera wouldn't show me a live view so focusing was done on a trial-and-error basis and these are the best shots. Disappointing that they weren't better, but for a first try at capturing a comet and having trouble with my gear, I'll take it.
