This photo I took in the fall in Changchun, Jilin Province, NE China. The clothesline in the foreground consists of center slices of heads of lettuce set out for drying in the sun. You can see that much of the colour has been bleached out. But if you look closely on some pieces you can still see hints of green. These pieces of dried lettuce are being preserved for winter consumption.
