Celebrated around the world, controversy still surrounds the origin of Halloween. There's many who believe its roots can be traced to the Celtic harvest festival "Samhain" while other do not believe the Gaelic pagan ritual had anything to do with it. Instead, they believe Halloween originated as a Christian celebration to honour the dead.
