Just in case you didn’t see it earlier in the week, here are some videos of the tornado that struck Northampton on Monday.

The Met Office and TORRO (The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation) have since confirmed that it was tornado. 

When a funnel cloud makes contact with the ground, it becomes a tornado. 

Torro classified the tornado as a T3, or a moderate tornado. A moderate tornado reaches windspeeds of 93mph-114mph and can carry debris considerable distances, blow over garden walls and snap big trees.
