UK weather: Rain, wind & flood warnings latest
Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 13:00 GMT - Rain, wind and flood warnings will be a feature this week as the jetstream fires across some particularly wet and windy UK weather.
The Met Office has officially named Thursday's deep area of low pressure as Storm Abigail. It has a yellow 'be aware' warning for wind across the northwest and north of Scotland for Thursday into Friday.
A number of weather warnings issued for Monday and Tuesday have ceased but a yellow rain warning is out for northwest England on Wednesday morning.
The heavy rainfall has led to the Environment Agency to issue a number of flood warnings and alerts for England and Wales, mostly for northern parts. Flood warnings and alerts are also active in Scotland.
On Wednesday some more localised flooding could be possible because of persistent rain for Wales and northern England.
