The Weather Network and MétéoMédia Launch an Interactive iTV App

The Weather Network and MétéoMédia, divisions of Pelmorex Media Inc., today announced the launch of its iTV weather app on Bell Fibe TV.

“Our easy-to-use iTV app makes it even more convenient for consumers to get timely weather information,” said Maureen Rogers, Sr. VP Television, Pelmorex Media Inc. “As a company that’s known for innovation, we’re excited to be the first licensed broadcaster to launch on this platform.”

Benefits of the new app include: 

  • Personalized, on-demand weather on your TV with lightning speed functionality 
  • Automatic and up-to-date current conditions based on your location 
  • Short-term forecasts, including temperature, POP, “feels like” and wind direction 
  • Long-term forecasts, including minimum and maximum temperatures 
  • Weather warnings 
  • Weather conditions and tracking for up to 10 of your favourite cities 
  • Seasonal information such pollen and bug forecasts, as well as downhill ski conditions, including the name of the ski hill, number of runs open, snow depth and more
