When my granddaughters were visiting, we found two Wooly Bear Caterpillars. There names are Diamond and Pinkie. Weather Folklore: The longer the Wooley Bears black bands, the longer, the colder, snowier and more severe the upcoming winter will be. Good News, according to Diamond and Pinkie, who are mainly brown, we are looking forward to a mild, short winter in our area of Sask. Thank You Diamond and Pinkie.
