Typhoon Glenda pummeled Metro Manila early morning of Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Signal # 3 was raised in Las Piñas and its neighboring cities as early as 3am. Classes in all levels were suspended. Families living in coastal and low-lying areas were advised to move to higher grounds and evacuated. Power lines are still down in most areas devastated by the typhoon. Strong gusty winds flattened houses, downed power lines leaving streets littered with debris.
