Last night when I came home I noticed the Moon sitting to the Southwest and noticed how the naked eye could see the whole moon even though only 3.8% was supposed to be visible. With the sun going down it still illuminated the moon further than the percentage we were able to see typically to the point where it looked like 2 distinct objects one in front of the other.
