Fall colours around a beaver-dammed pond

8425 views Rochelle October 25, 2021 Kamloops, British Columbia, CA Date shot: October 23, 2021

While walking at Tranquille River I came upon glorious reds and oranges in addition to the golds and greens already seen around me. These new bushes are growing in the marshes created by the local beavers who have felled the trees and dammed a couple minor streams to make a few significant ponds and their huts. The walking paths have definitely been improved over the last year with the diversion of water run-off from the ponds and other important work.
