Every two years the Immaculate Conception Church (also known as the Prairie Cathedral) in Cook's Creek, MB. holds a medieval festival, where spectators are invited to come dressed in period costume. There are different kiosks, where you can purchase, clothing, jewellery, and chain maille. There is a variety of h folk dance ensembles or test your skill at archery. There is also a chess tournament, which includes a "live" chess game. The highlight of course is the jousting competition.
