Exploring Le Kef, Tunisia

249 views George Kreif June 20, 2014 unknown Date shot: October 18, 2011

Le Kef is a frontier town located two hours drive south and west of Tunis near the boarder with Algeria. I traveled to Le Kef to explore the city's now deserted and crumbling kasbah (fortress). Over the last 2,000 years the site of the fortress has been occupied at one time or another by five different countries, including the ancient Romans. While in Le Kef I took these photos of the city and surrounding countryside from the walls of the hilltop fort.
