I always look forward to the first blooms of spring and the forsythia never fails to provide that delicious pop of yellow, that I crave after a black & white winter! I pruned the soon-to-bloom shrub the other day, but hated to throw away the budded branches. I brought them into the house and put them into a vase. They have since opened up earlier than the ones outside. My enjoyment of them will be stretched out!
