The highlight of a boat tour in Newfoundland near St. John's, was the end of my world-wide search for the elusive puffin. I've been to many places around the world where there were purportedly puffins - in an attempt to find and photograph them. They were always "just left" or "not here yet" - making me think they were merely a myth dreamed up by a tourist board. Then to my delight after years of searching, there they were, frolicking in the Ocean and flying about. Persistence pays off.
