What a tame bird

838 views Nature Lover October 9, 2019 Ottawa, ON Date shot: October 6, 2019

This is one of the tamest birds I've encountered at Mud Lake. It would fly and circle up close to you and land on a branch only a couple of feet away. It would do this over and over with not a care in the world. It is a juvenile bird as you can still see some of the down feathers around its eyes and one or two on top of its head. Some species of birds can have 2 broods explaining the lateness of this young bird. It may also be a release from a bird rehab and used to being around people. It was a joy to watch.
