It’s the time of year when male Wild Turkeys challenge each other to be the “Dominant Male” of the flock, an annual tradition. This photo was taken this morning April 10th of two Wild Turkey “Toms” engaged in their challenge lasting thirty minutes. One male has opened his mouth covering the face of the other male. In the end, both males were fine and went their separate ways into the woods. It was a unique opportunity to see the competition play out which usually doesn’t happen in the open.
