Sharp Looking Creature.

644 views Port Skipper December 3, 2016 unknown Date shot: December 3, 2016

This is the third type of hawk to visit my Port Perry yard full of feeders in the past few months. It is on the inverted woodpecker feeder. No question of its being a sharp shined hawk. Look at the shins and The name Sharp Shinned Hawk is truly an apt moniker. Previously this year I had a Merlin and a Red - Tailed hawk checking out the feeders. I hope to see the fourth type of hawk I have had in the yard over the years, a Cooper's Hawk , before the winter gets too severe. I'll post it if I get a pic. Skip
