Took a quick trip in to visit the Trumpeter Swans in the Nonquon / Port Perry Lagoons this morning. Found them feeding but they had come on shore and were preening after their meal by the time I reached them. I noticed that the eldest of the triplets seemed to prefer being with the adult birds this morning. Its nest mates were flopped on the ground together as this was going on. Looks like this cygnet is getting closer to maturity.
