I kept the location of this owl quiet until the owl was hit by a car. I usually only share owl locations that just about everyone knows about. My perogative to share or not to share. No one elses. I went to see the northern hawk owl 3 times. Like many others we could only stay on the shoulder of the exit ramp with guardrails on both sides. Over the gurdrail the land slopes down. I am not sure how some were able to see this owl hunting at their feet. Maybe they're lucky.
